Comics Illustrator of the Week: Kamome Shirahama

Featured Art(top):   Batgirl and the Birds of Prey #18 Cover B(2018)

Origin:  Kamome started off drawing the random Marvel Comics cover, including one for the new Star Wars character, Doctor Aphra, and a highly sought after variant cover for Howard the Duck #4, featuring fan-favorite Kamala Khan AKA (The New)Ms. Marvel.  Today, Kamome Shirahama is gaining in popularity as a regular cover artist for DC Comics’ strong female focused book, Batgirl and the Birds of Prey.

Base of Operations:  Tokyo, Japan

1st  Appearance(comics):  Ultimate End #4 “Manga Variant Cover”(2015)
