Cartoonist Jeffrey Brown has had a really interesting career, from his early days of self-publishing very raw, personal comics about first relationships and early adulthood, to today, where he’s a celebrated, best-selling author & artist of many graphic novels, including a very popular series of Star Wars children’s books(they’re actually very funny picture books that adults would appreciate as much, if not more than kids).

Brown earned his MFA at the Chicago School of the Art Institute in the early 2000’s.  He soon after turned his attention from painting to comics.  His comics career took off early with the well received Clumsy, a relationship memoir, and he’s been working hard, building his following, ever since.

In addition to comics, Jeffrey Brown directed a music video for Death Cab for Cutie and co-wrote the 2012 indy film, Save the Date, starring Alison Brie and Lizzy Caplan.

Besides his ultra successful Star Wars books and Incredible Change-Bots series, Jeffrey Brown has also drawn some amazing covers for various comics, including this week’s Adventure Time #50 variant(I believe it’s his 3rd cover for this series; all posted above).
