This week’s Revival #37 features another stunning cover by Jenny Frison. She’s been doing some of her best work on that series, the last few years. Frison has a penchant for drawing strong and alluring female protagonists, like Red Sonja, Vampirella, and Hack/Slash’s Cassie Hack, just to name a few.
Jenny Frison earned her BFA in Illustration from Northern Illinois University, before studying at the Joe Kubert School of Cartooning & Graphic Arts. Today, Frison has established herself as one of the premier, “go-to” cover artists in comics. On more than one occasion I’ve been swayed to buy a comic I otherwise wouldn’t have, just because of her powerful cover art.
Clean Room, published by DC/Vertigo, is the latest monthly assignment for Frison. Some of her other clients include IDW, Dynamite Entertainment, Dark Horse, Image Comics, and Marvel.

Fantastic, great illustrations.
It’s refreshing to see women portrayed in more realistic poses and body types. Also, totally digging Zoe Deschanel as Vampirella.
Well, these pieces must be in my collection. I’m gonna search for more of Jenny Frison’s work on this weekend at the Torontian ComiCon.
