Global Melting Illustrated by Thomas James

“An illustration for a Boston Phoenix article about the effects of global warming on the east coast ski season. The headline for the article is ‘The Mountains Are Melting!’, and I was really drawn to this approach of a melting soft-serve ice cream cone. After all, it’s a real bummer when your ice cream melts, just like it’s a real bummer when there’s not enough snow to ski. As a nice surprise, the red skier coming down the slopes makes a yummy cherry on top.” – Thomas James
