    How is it she “defies convention” do you believe Andy? The art is all well done, but what “convention” is being defied? Certainly it all speaks to if not panders to the patriarchal fetish as has already been established. Sexy vampiras have been making a splash since waaay back… The words “twisted” and “bad” with naughty kitty nuns is nuthin’ new…
    So basically it’s eye candy as per usual.
    Perhaps that’s enuff in the male dominated comic book world as you see it and these women aren’t as unconventional as you imagine?

      Interesting comment. So much to consider! When I said “defies convention”, I was referring to Alex de Campi’s writing style. She’s a fresh, original creative voice in contemporary comics, right now.

        hmmm… maybe you should post an excerpt or two of her writing to “verify” that. As it is you posted the illustrations and only a teeny tiny “review.”
