Kirbi Fagan is another example of an artist crossing over from the world of books to comics.  Fagan is already an accomplished illustrator at her young age, painting covers for many young readers titles, including the Shanna Swendson novels, A Kind of Magic & Fairy Tale, as well as Susan Jane Bigelow’s Extra Humans Union Series, to name just a few.  She honed her skills at Kendall College of Art and Design, earning a bachelor’s degree in Illustration.

Fagan’s comics career has started with a big splash, contributing two stunning variant covers for Marvel’s new Mockingbird series(bottom 2 images), and the variant to this week’s Gwenpool #3(top)!  She’ll also be contributing illustrations to the upcoming adult coloring book by Fight Club scribe Chuck Palahniuk, titled Bait: Off-Color Stories for you to Color.

Simply amazing works and epic style. Comics are a part of illustration, or well, that is how I see it!
