Argentine artist Ariel Olivetti has been working steadily for the major comics publishers since illustrating Peter David’s The Last Avengers Story(Marvel) in 1995. Olivetti lists underground artist Richard Corben as a major influence, and I can certainly see that in his ultra-detailed, almost grotesque, painting style. He paints traditionally with acrylics and oils, as well as digitally, so he’s a true double-threat!
Currently, Olivetti is “killing it” on Venom: Space Knight, painting striking covers and interior artwork for the new Marvel series.
