Another artist discovered thanks to the fine folks at kaboom! comics.  This week’s colorfully, jam-packed “cover A” to Adventure Time #47 is by illustrator Nicole Gustafsson.  She enjoys exploring and mixing themes of nature and pop culture in her work.

Gustafsson graduated in 2007 from Hastings College, Hastings, NE with a BFA.  She specializes in traditional media and has offered workshops for painting with gouache(her preference being Holbein Acryla Gouache). Her work has been featured on various posters, book covers, and in large art shows across the country.

Some of her clients include Boom Studios, Fangamer, Nickelodeon, Dark Hall Mansion, and Mondo.  She was a featured guest artist in David Peterson’s comic, Mouse Guard: Legends of the Guard, Vol 3 #2.

Nicole Gustafsson has a snazzy web store named Nimasprout, where you can purchase prints, postcards, paintings, and a number of other delightful treasures!  If you’d like to see her latest work, you can also follow her on instagram here.
