“Charactron started from the simple fact that everyday is different and so could have its own unique character. Also, being an illustrator, I needed a good excuse to make sure I drew something new everyday, without getting carried away in a week/month long project. So, since 2012, I try to spend a maximum of 30 minutes each day (or so) from grabbing my sketchpad to posting on Tumblr. The other rule is to be as spontaneous as possible by not anticipating what I’m going to draw until I actually start doing it, or until I finish it in some occasions. The idea is to surprise myself, regularly trying to break my own creative boundaries while building up something interesting in the process.”
