“If you asked me about designing apps a year ago, I wouldn’t have known what to tell you.”
Illustrator Sarah Jacoby recently finished illustrating an app for TinyBop, a company that creates “elegant, educational iOS apps to spark the curiosity of kids around the world” and she wants to share the experience with anyone interested.
In a new post on her blog, she offers a behind-the-scenes look at her process of navigating the unique landscape of app design, researching visual inspiration and working with a team to create their latest project, The Earth.
“I’ve just spent the past six months planning, designing and illustrating The Earth. Allow me to share my wisdom. I want to tell you a bit about why I made certain style choices, share a little bit of process, and articulate how challenging some of the simplest things can be. Perhaps it can help and inspire you in your own interactive endeavors.”
