This Week’s Guest Editor: Michelle Obama!

Illustration by the great Brett Affrunti

We are SUPER EXCITED to announce a very special Guest Editor this week at Illustration Age. As you know, from time to time we like to invite someone from outside our little circle to share some of the illustrations (and illustrators) that they’re currently into.

Well it turns out that First Lady Michelle Obama is quite the illustration enthusiast, and after pulling thousands of strings and calling in tons of favors we finally got in touch with her, AND SHE SAID YES!

We know you’re probably thinking that this is only an April Fool’s joke because you’re seeing all kinds of unbelievable stuff on the internet today. Well I would love to tell you that this is indeed NOT an April Fool’s joke, except for the fact that this is indeed only an April Fool’s joke, for which we are deeply sorry.

P.S. – Anyone have a direct line to Michelle Obama?

Nice job on Michelle. She’s a beautiful woman and you managed to capture her lively spirit.
