ICON The Illustration Conference brings together top illustrators, art directors, designers, educators, and art buyers to explore The Future of Illustration. ICON8 will be rolling into Portland, Oregon from July 9-12, 2014.
Here’s a sneak peak of the sweet poster by Conference Artist Carson Ellis. Carson is a PDX local, best known for her children’s book collaborations with Lemony Snicket and Colin Meloy and her album art for artists like The Decemberists, Laura Veirs and Weezer.
When the new ICON8 site launches on October 7, you’ll find information on the conference program including confirmed speakers, workshops, events, education symposia and most importantly your chance to register at the early bird discount rate. It is 2013 so there is a blog, Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram feeds as well.
Full disclosure, I sit on the ICON Board of Directors and from my perch I know that the program is coming together with a great slate of speakers and loads of good stuff to come.
