“Concerning maritime superstitions and traditions, particularly Gaelic Ireland and Scotland. Conceptually I developed an ‘old world’ feel in the artwork, once again using a limited palette and utilising aging textures, including hints of woodcut and block print crafts. I also planned to keep some mystery and intrigue in the image hopefully making the illustration a little more curious to the viewer.” – Peter Donnelly
