The collage art style is alive and well, ironically in France. The art style is perhaps most famous for the interstitial animations in Terry Gilliam’s Monty Python films, which taunted France in The Holy Grail. But Bruno Mallart brings a painterly, even abstract aesthetic to the medium and has a range from editorial to fantasy.
