Michael Cho – Time Traveling Illustration for Torchbearer Magazine

“A recent illustration I drew for Torchbearer magazine, on the subject of quantum physics, time travel and viewing the past.  I was grateful that they gave me the latitude to do a “pulp sci-fi” take on it.”

What I admire about this illustration, is the basic colour scheme however basic it is, the way it was put together/created and it looks really effective and dynamic. Truth be told, 4 colours are enough to show 4 different shades for depth. Nice work.

Agreed. Michael is always great with color, and in this piece in particular he uses it to great effect to separate the outside and inside while creating tension.

I agree with Seth, and the composition was so in keeping with old school pulp art, like Grandpa loved, but it’s still a sort of fresh graphic art take, loved it Mr. James!
