Mecanismos: 100 Experimental Illustrations by Carl Wiens

Two thoughts always come to mind when I see a fellow Illustrator take on an ambitious long-term personal art project, such as rebranding 10,000 lakes or drawing 50 angry mongooses:

1. That’s a cool idea.
2. They’re crazy.

This week, artist Carl Wiens completed his own industrious project called Mecanismos, and the result is a strong collection of 100 screen prints combining and remixing 76 different elements as well as collage, inspired by science fiction, dusty pop-sci magazines and textbook diagrams. Somebody buy this man a drink.

      Hi Carlyn,
I couldn’t find them there. Do you have a link to a page on that site where people can buy them? Thanks!
      Thomas
