Animation Short by Mac ‘n’ Cheese

You just can’t miss this. It has been watched on youtube more than 45.0000 times. I really like the characters, the textures, the music. Can’t wait for the next animation.

Mac ‘n’ Cheese is an animated short directed and created by four students at the Utrecht School of Arts in the Netherlands. They used Autodesk Maya, Eyeon Fusion, Pixologic Zbrush,  Adobe Photoshop and TVPaint to make this awsome animation.

Album Cover by Kate D. Macdowell and Tom Hingston

This is an album cover called ‘Tomorrow’s world’ for Erasure album. I’m not familiar with their music… but the album cover is something I needed to share. The sculpture is made by Kate MacDowell and Tom Hingston made the design. What a collaboration.

Fashion Illustration by Laura Laine

Laura Laine is a Helsinki based illustrator. Who doesn’t know her? Her work is stunning. I love her characters, the long hair, the texture of the clothes and the minimal color palette. It’s feminine, but has a creepy twist.

She has studied fashion design at University of Art and Design Helsinki, but during her studies focused on fashion illustration. After completing her studies she has been working full-time as a freelance illustrator and is also teaching fashion illustration at the university.

Her recent clients include Vogue Nippon, GAP, I.T. store, Elle, Zara, The New York Times T magazine, Tommy Hilfiger, Muse magazine, The Guardian, I.T. Post magazine. She has also exhibited in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Relief Illustration from Gregory Euclide

I discovered this artist a while ago when I saw the albumcover of Bon Ivers. Gregory Euclide has some very special relief work. This one is made from acrylic, pencil, found foam, lichen, moss, mylar, photo transfer, pine cone, pine needles, sedum and wire.
