Follies Revival by Fraver

Frank “Fraver” Verlizzo recently designed and illustrated this powerful new image and poster for the latest revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Follies. The iconic image of the original 1971 production by Fraver’s mentor David Byrd is a tough act to follow, but this image of a wall covered in torn, faded images of Follies posters past celebrates theatrical history while the central figures casts it’s eyes on the future. For a master class of theatre design and illustration of the last quarter century, check out Fraver’s web site.
